An organic gardener and homesteader for 50+ years now. I spent about 10 years in East Texas on sandy acidic soil and the rest of my life here in Arizona on dry, hard, alkaline caliche. Currently I raise chickens for meat, eggs and show along with a market garden and sell at local farmers markets.
